For your papers, please use the LaTeX template which is available here.


This seminar addresses current research in the context of Peer-to-Peer system and similar areas.

Every participant writes a paper about a selected topic. The participants get feedback in form of reviews of their submitted papers and revise their work accordingly. The reviews are done by other participants of the seminar.

At the end of the seminar, every participants presents her results followed by a discussion.

As topics, publications from relevant journals, conferences, and books are chosen. Own topics can be proposed as well.

For the grade, preparation and presentation of your work as well as review and your own paper are taken into account.


Basic knowledge on networks (e.g. course Introduction to NCS) and peer-to-peer systems (e.g. courses Peer-to-Peer Networks or KN2). Solid allround CS and math knowledge from first two study years.


In general every summer term, irregularly in the winter term.


Presentations and papers can be given / written in German or English.
